Data Intelligence, LLC is seeking an experienced Red Team Offensive Tool Developer to join our team in supporting critical Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity initiatives in Dam Neck, VA. This position is fully on-site.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain custom tools and exploits to support Red Team operations, simulating real-world cyber threats and adversary tactics.
- Conduct research on emerging vulnerabilities and develop proof-of-concept exploits to test and enhance system defenses.
- Collaborate with Red Team members to plan and execute complex adversary simulations, including network penetration, data exfiltration, and social engineering campaigns.
- Develop and implement Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) for various attack scenarios to assess the effectiveness of existing security measures.
- Perform thorough analysis of target systems and networks to identify potential vulnerabilities and misconfigurations that could be exploited by adversaries.
- Utilize reverse engineering techniques to dissect and understand software, firmware, and protocols to inform tool development and exploitation strategies.
- Work closely with stakeholders to develop Red Team scenarios that accurately reflect real-world cyber threats and organizational risks.
- Document findings from Red Team engagements, providing detailed reports with actionable recommendations to improve the organization's security posture.
- Stay updated on the latest cyber threats, attack vectors, and security research to inform tool development and operational strategies.
- Participate in training exercises and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance Red Team capabilities and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Graduate of the National Security Agency Computer Network Operations Development Program (CNODP)
- Minimum 5 years' professional experience* in the following areas:

- Red Team or Penetration Test engagements with a focus on exploit and tool development
- Programming in at least (3) of the following: Python, C++, Java, Assembly, C#, Rust, or similar
- Identifying and closing capability gaps in existing tools and methodologies

* 3 years of experience may be accepted for candidates possessing a Masters Degree in a relevant field; 2 years of experience may be accepted for candidates possessing a PhD in a relevant field
- Must have CSSP Infrastructure Support Certification
- One of the following:
- GIAC Exploit Researcher and Advanced Penetration Tester (GXPN)
- Offensive Security Exploit Developer (OSED)
- Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
Preferred Skills & Tools:
- Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity frameworks and compliance (NIST/RMF)
- Experience supporting classified or high-security IT environments
- Problem-solving skills and ability to lead incident response efforts
- Strong documentation and communication skills
