Position Title: Cybersecurity Engineer
Location: Dam Neck, VA (100% On-Site)

Position Summary:
RPI Group, Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in Dam Neck, VA. This position plays a key role in advancing cybersecurity operations by performing in-depth system hardening, vulnerability assessment, and security compliance activities in alignment with DoD requirements. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in cybersecurity practices and proven experience supporting both Linux and Windows environments across DoD networks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to system configurations.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
• Interpret and implement Security Management policy guidance and directives.
• Remediate security vulnerabilities by applying vendor patches and configuration changes.
• Maintain cybersecurity posture for assigned systems in alignment with DoD requirements.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
• Certification: Must meet DoD 8570.01-M requirements IAW DFARS 252.239-7001 Baseline Certification, minimum IAT Level II.
• Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of full-time professional Cybersecurity experience, including:
◦ STIG implementation
◦ Vulnerability assessments using ACAS
◦ Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity policy and directives
◦ Patch remediation on Linux and Windows systems
• Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required.
Skills:
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
• Proficiency in both Linux and Windows environments
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and security policies
