System Engineer

About the Role:
Aquila is seeking a Systems Engineer t o join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for engineering several forensic and testing environments, both unclassi?ed and classi?ed, facilitating and controlling backups, providing hardware and software solutions, designing and architecting security tools in a secure manner, overseeing technical procurement, and supporting 30 servers performing mission critical operations.
There are a few requirements for the position:
Required Skills:
• Advanced knowledge of Windows system administration
• Pro?ciency with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python
• Experience with enterprise storage (RAID, JBOD, NAS, SAN, etc.)
• Experience with enterprise backups and restoration
• Experience with virtualization technologies
• Experience with networking technologies and devices
• Linux and Mac administration experience
• Experience with enterprise forensic tool administration for classified systems
• Advanced enterprise tool deployment, management and troubleshooting
• DoD approved 8570 IAT Level II Certi?cation (Security+, GSEC, CCNA Security)
• Familiarity with requirements identi?ed in the National Industrial Security Operations Manual (NISPOM) regarding the protection of classi?ed information systems.
Must Have
Certification: DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security)
Clearance Level: Must have an active Secret Clearance (OR a higher clearance)

There are a few requirements for the position:
- Must be a U.S Citizen- Authorized to Work in the US - Must have an Active Secret clearance (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
- Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)
- Must Live within 100 miles from Lexington, MA

- 7 years - Configure and Manage Centralized Logging and Audit Capabilities
- 7 years - Enterprise Backup Solutions
- 7 years - Hardware: Intel/AMD, Cisco, Sun/Oracle, Dell, Apple, EMC, NetApp
- 4 years - Linux / Windows administration
- 7 years - Macintosh and iOS platform(s)
- 7 years - MS Active Directory, LDAP
- 7 years - Systems Administration
- 7 years - Technologies including DNS, DHCP, Proxy and Load Balancing
- 7 years - Virtualization Technologies to include VM management, Snapshots, SANs and iSCSI Storage Systems
- 7 years - Windows Patch Management
- 7 years - Windows Server Platform
Nice to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or related ?eld
- Prior experience in a DoD Industrial Security environment.
- Information Systems Security O?cer (ISSO) experience
- Relevant administration certi?cations (RHEL, CCNA, MCSE)
