Sr. Virtualization Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a qualified Senior Virtualization Engineer to support of a secure customer located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah (HAFB). This program aims to modernize legacy network infrastructure and migrate services into a new AWS Cloud Environment. Responsibilities:

• Oversee activities related to monitoring, administering, and ensuring recoverability of and adherence to VMWare standards and policies
• Manage technical infrastructure and application environments.
• Manage and monitor the capture and virtualization of production data.
• Manage the evaluation of server implementations that capture virtualization requirements.
• Ensure STIGs are correctly implemented to secure the virtualization infrastructure.
• Manage the encryption infrastructure for the hardware environment.
• Manage, design, plan, build, configure and maintain the virtual server infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or IT related field with five (5) or more years of experience in determining information technology effects on the organizational structure and determining the ability that IT can support/meet organizational goals. A Master's Degree and 3+ years of experience or a PhD and 0+ years of experience may be substituted.
• Must possess an Active Secret Clearance OR be eligible for an Interim Secret clearance
• Security+ or higher
• At least one of the following certifications desired:
• VMWare Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization
• VMWare Certified Advanced Professional - Data Center Virtualization

Compensation:

• $130,000-$145,000 **depending on experience
• Full benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, and sick leave if required by law)
