Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Data Engineer to support a United States Air Force (USAF) logistics program. This position is considered hybrid and will report to Andrews Air Force Base ONCE per week . This candidate will create advanced data visualizations, dashboards, and dicision support tools that integrate machine learning and AI techniques to provide impactful decision making abilities within the Air Force Logistics community. The perfect candidate will have strong Python and SQL skills with AI/ML and Big Data tools experience.

This candidate will create advanced data visualizations, dashboards, and dicision support tools that integrate machine learning and AI techniques to provide impactful decision making abilities within the Air Force Logistics community. The perfect candidate will have strong Python and SQL skills with AI/ML and Big Data tools experience.
Responsibilities:
- Experience implementing and optimizing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data is cleaned, processed, and loaded into data storage systems
- Experience with pipeline maintenance and troubleshooting
- Experience with Databricks
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Strong SQL scripting capabilities for data query and preparation
- Ensure the performance, efficiency, and scalability of deployed products (models, dashboards, etc.)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities backed by solid writing and highly-effective communication skills; must collaborate constructively and effectively with project end-users, customers, advocates and stakeholders
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering
- Bachelors Degree in related field
- Active Secret Clearance
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, and SAP Business Objects)
- Ability to be on-site once per week at Andrews AFB in Andrews, MD
Compensation:
- Salary is up to $150,000 depending on experience
