DESCRIPTION

The Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Invoicing team is looking for a new Billing Compliance Analyst (BCA) to support various AWS Public Sector customers. This role will support the end to end invoicing process for critical public sector contracts. The role will assist in the implementation of processes and controls in order to reduce risk. A successful candidate for this role must demonstrate strong analytical skills, organization and attention to detail, and ability to coordinate multiple requirements across stakeholders.

The ADC Invoicing team is responsible for submitting invoices and ensuring compliance with public sector invoicing obligations in the ADC regions. General responsibilities include (i) generating and submitting monthly invoicing (ii) performing contract funding analysis (iii) resolving customer questions and concerns and (iv) implementing process improvement. The Billing Compliance Analyst will review and identify pricing obligations and risks within public sector contracts, and establish the strategy to mitigate any risks. The Billing Compliance Analyst role requires knowledge of both federal finance and contracting as they regularly engage both with internal AWS teams and the customers to support the design of process and technical solutions to ensure invoicing compliance. This role is for an individual who appreciates the consistency of monthly invoicing but enjoys the challenge of actively looking for process or feature gaps to fix, and loves designing solutions (a builder at heart). Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

-Support all aspects of monthly billing and invoicing for assigned customer
-Respond and resolve billing-related discrepancies and questions
-Extract raw usage and financial data from business databases and data warehouse
-Perform analytics to produce meaningful reports that enable decision making
-Collaborate with internal AWS groups to ensure funding and financials are in line with customer requirements
-Create methods for automating financial reporting and data analysis to enhance efficiency
-Consult with manager to ensure that financial adjustments are made in accordance with program changes
-Respond to data calls and inquiries from the program management office and services teams
-Work with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate tracking of accounts

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of experience in the areas of finance, business management and/or federal contracting in mid-to-large scale global Sales Organization
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Understanding of government acquisitions and financial management along with applicable mandates and polices that govern the process

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $83,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
