The Judge Group is currently seeking a Cloud Engineer with an active secret clearance to support a classified customer in Washington, DC. This position requires working onsite five days per week.
As a Cloud Engineer, you will lead cloud infrastructure initiatives, optimize existing systems, and support the modernization of IT environments. Your work will drive secure, scalable, and innovative solutions aligned with our commitment to excellence in service delivery.

Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement scalable, secure, and reliable Azure-based cloud infrastructure.
- Lead efforts to design, deploy, and optimize IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions in Azure.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient and automated software deployment.
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities in cloud environments.
- Implement and manage Azure security best practices, including identity management, role-based access controls, and network security.
- Support compliance with federal standards such as FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST guidelines.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement mitigations for cloud environments.
- Work closely with development teams to support cloud-native application design.
- Partner with stakeholders to align cloud solutions with mission objectives.
- Mentor junior engineers on cloud architecture and Azure technologies.
- Stay up to date with the latest Azure services, tools, and best practices.
- Identify opportunities for automation and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
- Contribute to innovation initiatives that enhance cloud capabilities and organizational agility.
Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance is required.
- 8+ years of experience in IT or software engineering, with at least 5 years focused on cloud engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- Extensive experience with Azure, including Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure Active Directory, or a similar platform.
- Proven track record in designing and managing hybrid cloud and cloud-native solutions.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or AWS equivalent.
- Additional certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or AWS/GCP certifications are a plus.
- Ability to be onsite in Washington, DC 5 days a week.
