ARServices is seeking a Technical Project Manager to provide Advisory & Assistance Services (A&AS) expertise for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in support of the Research and Development (RD) Directorate, Nuclear Technologies Department.
A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:
  • Serves as an action officer and advisor for a science and technology portfolio focusing on nuclear detection technologies; and provides support for, and coordination of, RDT&E acquisition and planning, programming, budgeting, and execution processes.
  • Develops, guides, and monitor aspects of cost, schedule, administration and performance of a portfolio of projects.
  • Research new requirements, conduct market research, and assist in translating technology areas and concepts to the nuclear detection mission.
  • Provides advice and facilitates acquisition actions by writing statements of work, evaluating proposals, and monitoring contract performance.
  • Assists the government in aligning the portfolio for rapid transition of emerging tools and capabilities to end-users.
  • Develop, edit, and route staff action packages for approval .
  • Develop and edit documents such as memos, information papers, white papers, and decision papers per DTRA and DoD standards.
  • Respond to routine and short notice taskers as required.
Security Clearance Requirement:
  • Active/current Top Secret/SCI clearance.
Required Qualifications:
  • BS degree or demonstrated similar competence
  • Requires a minimum of 10 years of experience or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Must have executive level communication skills, both oral and written, and working familiarity with document editing and publishing tools.
  • Experience in DOD, the Defense Threat Reduction Agency or a similar military staff
  • Experience in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), SharePoint, TEAMS, and MS Project
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with DOD/federal acquisition
  • PMP
  • Defense Acquisition University PM Level II Courses
  • Knowledge of nuclear technologies and/or combating WMD/CBRN threats
