Raytheon has an opportunity for a Manager, Contracts to support the Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) on Guided Missile Round Pack (GMRP) production within the Naval Power organization. The this role will lead pursuits, as well as execution efforts, with multiple Department of Defense (DoD) and prime customers to include international/Direct Commercial Sales (DCS). As a cooperative program with a German Partner (RAMSYS), RAM provides opportunities for contracting as a prime to RAMSYS and creates unique opportunities for creative contracting as a subcontractor through RAMSYS.

The position will be well suited for a highly motivated, well-organized person who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment. Your responsibilities will include developing creative approaches to solving problems while employing sound change management and communication skills.

What You Will Do
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to establish mutually beneficial relationships
  • Provide support to complex contractual matters and help reach resolution through proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders
  • Support development of pre-negotiation objectives and implement negotiation strategy as part of the proposal development process
  • Have the ability to represent Raytheon independently on significant transactions while developing and maintaining trusting relationships with complex customers
  • Minimal travel to Raytheon sites and/or customer locations


Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience with U.S. Government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
  • Experience in the development and/ or evaluation of proposals, pricing strategies, negotiations and contracts compliance


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience as a team or program Contracts lead
  • Understanding of the financial aspects of contracts and risk quantification
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with customers and internal partners based on teamwork, understanding, and trust
  • Demonstrated ability to broker internal and/or external solutions to complex program, contract or financial problems that have general impact on annual operating plan (AOP) performance
  • Familiarity with Other Transaction Agreements, Intellectual Property, license agreements, or teaming agreements

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
