Program Overview
Electro-mechanical repair and overhaul of mail processing, delivery and bulk processing equipment, including repairing printed circuit boards, electrical, electronic, mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies to a component level. These services ensure the continued essential automation, mechanization of retail and bulk processing equipment used in mail processing and retail installations across the entire country.
About The Role
Peraton is seeking an Accounting Clerk 3 to join our team of diverse, qualified individuals. The Accounting Clerk 3 works at the United States Postal Service (USPS) Central Repair Facility (CRF) in Topeka, KS. The CRF is a depot repair facility for USPS mail processing, delivery, and bulk mail systems repairable parts. Examples: repairing printed circuit boards, electrical, electronic, mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies to component level. The CRF provides depot level maintenance for essential automation, mechanization, retail and bulk mail processing systems used in all mail processing and retail installations.
Our Accounting Clerk 3 performs a variety of general accounting support tasks in an accounting department. Verifies accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records. Updates and maintains accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., accounts receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, payrolls, receipts, accounts payable). Specific tasks include:

- Enters data into computer system using defined computer programs
- Compiles data and prepares a variety of reports
- Reconciles records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers
- May reconcile bank and financial statements/report
- Recommends actions to resolve discrepancies
- Investigates questionable data
- Performs other related tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent and 4+ years experience.
- U.S. Citizenship; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Proficiency using windows based applications and software (Microsoft Office).
- Experience in Accounts Payable
- Government contract billing experience
- Sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- Physical activity may include reaching, walking, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motion
- Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures
