In this role, you will:
- Provide production management analysis, based on historical information, identifying ship production trends, forecasts, and the status of ship production progress.
- Brief PMS 400D or SUPSHIP personnel as needed to report any significant conditions found or observed trends that could affect cost, quality, or schedule.
- Gather data from Government databases and ship construction deliverables and use the data to develop analyses of production issues.
- Assemble or construct simple production progressing tools and trackers.
- Coordinate and prepare Ship Program Review (SPR) briefs, Trials and Delivery briefs, Quarterly Execution Reviews (QERs), and other presentations.
- Update readiness for key events using milestone trackers.
- Review production-related deliverables under the Ship Construction contracts for accuracy and contractual compliance and provide results to the responsible DDG 51 Class Data Monitor.
- Perform technical studies and analyses in surface combatant shipbuilding.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DOD Secret Clearance
- US Citizenship
- A High School Diploma/GED equivalent
- Higher level of education such as a Bachelor's Degree will be considered in lieu of experience.
- 5 years of experience working with schedule tools, EVM metrics or similar/related experience.
- Strong familiarity with EVM and schedule analysis.
- Ability to analyze and forecast production schedules based on raw data and build schedules.
- Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 Professional and/or Deltek Open Plan.
- Experience in planning, scheduling, conducting or coordinating detailed phases of engineering related tasks.
- Knowledge/Experience with financial and production principles and techniques to develop complex specifications and procedures, developing and analyzing designs, and evaluating technical information.
- Knowledge/Experience in performing technical studies and analyses in surface combatant shipbuilding.
- Ablility to effectively communicate and interface with customers, stakeholders, and industry personnel.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and technical report writing skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.
