Job Description:
Job Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, install, and integrate submarine training systems.
* Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, system services, application software, and system management tools for Linux systems, both natively and within virtual machines.
* Work with team to monitor and test applications, virtual machines, and containers to identify issues with installation and performance.
* Troubleshoot Information Technology (IT) Systems to diagnose and suggest/implement potential solutions.
* Support physical hardware installation of IT computing equipment and cabling at both local and remote sites.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or other related field and 5 years of experience, Master's Degree with 3 years of experience, or 9 years in lieu of degree.
* Linux experience required.
* Experience with bash scripting.
* Experience with virtualization technologies, preferably Red Hat KVM (e.g., Red Hat KVM, VMware, libvirt/virsh).
* Networking knowledge (OSI Network Layers, TCP/IP, DHCP).
* US Citizenship with the ability to maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
* Ability to work onsite.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Current IAT Level I Certifications:
* Network+
* Security+
* Linux+
* Experience with Cisco switch/router configuration development and deployment.
* Experience with System Build Automation Tools (Linux kickstart, Puppet, Windows Deployment Server (WDS)).
* Computer/Electronics Hardware knowledge.
* Intel server configurations.
* Configuration management experience with both centralized and distributed version control systems (e.g., SVN and Git).
* Experience with submarine tactical systems.
* Navy junior officer experience.
