The Classified Infrastructure Services department provides expertise to programs in Networking, High Performance Computing (HPC), and Storage & Data Protection. As an HPC Engineer Manager for this high-impact team, you will provide Subject Matter Expertise within the HPC discipline. You will support operational teams by bringing your advanced HPC knowledge and troubleshooting ability. As a Manager/HPC Engineer, you will research new technologies, collaborate with other organizations, and help drive the HPC roadmap and vision. This is an on-site position which will be based in Tucson, AZ office and may require occasional travel to other local and US Domestic locations up to 10% of time. Relocation support will be available if the selected applicant meets company policy.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. What you will Do:
- Lead and manage a team of HPC Engineers to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of program HPC's, equipment, and services within their assigned section. Oversee team functionality access and readiness to perform essential job duties.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members under the direction of the senior manager.
- Performing leadership and managerial duties for team members, including but not limited to, Performance and development assessments, Career planning, Resource management, Timecard approval, Personal-Time-Off (PTO) approval and management, Talent interviewing and hiring
- Supervising engineers with standard documentation and processes in designing, configuring, and installing HPC equipment. In addition, general guidance will be required on maintaining HPC equipment in a Risk Management Framework to provide security compliance for the HPC environment with regular security updates.
- Provide advanced knowledge in support of (software/firmware/hardware) HPC components including servers and high-speed fabric switches.
- Monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize HPC system performance, proactively identifying and quickly resolving service impacting issues.
- Review system vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with recognized industry standards and best practices. Developing and monitoring policies, standards, processes, and goals for direct reports
- Drive and/or participate in projects in support of installation and/or improvement to HPC infrastructure.
- Produce, update, and generally improve technical documentation to support security requirements and operational support of systems.
- Propose to management and configure HPC solutions, meeting all communications requirements based on future needs, current usage, cost savings, and availability.
- Provide regular monitoring and HPC analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for HPC infrastructure.
- Coordinating HPC engineer support for training development/evaluations and operations and sustainment plans
- Participating in Change Request reviews, to include participating in Change Management boards at multiple program levels
- Assist in the overall performance and capability of technical teams through mentoring, training, and knowledge sharing.
- Willingness and availability to travel to local and other U.S domestic sites up to 10% of time.
- Must be able to work with general supervision and follow established procedures.

- You will be supporting the Digital Technology function in Raytheon as a front-line supervisor in addition to your existing responsibilities supporting a direct program within all Raytheon business units
- Apply HPC Engineering expertise to facility moves, new construction buildings, supporting classified and unclassified programs in multiple locations across Raytheon.
- Advanced knowledge of industry leading HPC products and HPC Design/Architecture for all programs.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires bachelor's degree and 8 years in HPC Engineering OR Information Technology roles, an advanced Degree and 6 years' experience, and in lieu of degree, applicants with 12 years of relevant of experience will be considered.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued US Secret DOD security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

- Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate High Performance Computing needs with customers at all levels of management and with individual contributors on the HPC team.
- Experience as a Manager, Supervisor, or Group Leader for technical teams.
- Strong written, verbal and executive level presentation skills; ability to decompose, document, and communicate architecture rationale, approach, design, and governance.
- Experience in Project Leadership, Management, or Project management in an DT domain
- High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Unix security hardening, systems integrations, advanced troubleshooting, and authentication service integration (LDAP).
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Knowledge of High-Performance Computing scheduling and monitoring tools such as SLURM and Ganglia.
- Possess an understanding of Digital Engineering principles including Model Based System Engineering, DevOps/DevSecOps pipelines (Software Factory), containerization and Agile Development Methodologies.
- An active US DoD Top-Secret Clearance or eligibility to obtain a US DoD Top Secret Clearance.
