Process Safety Manager
***This position requires an active Public Trust clearance. ***
Must be a United States citizen with a clear background for government security investigation with the ability to obtain a Clearance or Common Access Card (CAC).
Responsible for providing process safety oversight to facilitate the mitigation of hazards associated with the processes and operations of a LNG Facility to ensure operations are done safely, reliably, and efficiently. Collaborates with other professionals to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations for the controlling of potential hazards associated with the LNG Facility processes and operations.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Process Safety Manager: [$98,000-$100,000]
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Process Safety Manager Responsibilities Include:
Plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluate activities essential to managing a comprehensive occupational safety program for the operation of a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Plant.
Review plans and specifications for new construction, major building alterations, and equipment changes to ensure compliance with safety codes and standards.
Monitor projects from initiation to completion to ensure adherence to safety codes and standards.
Review and update the Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) for the LNG Operational Plan.
Provide technical safety training and guidance to supervisors, employees, and unit safety representatives across various operational areas.
Deliver training and develop training aids for both U.S. and Japanese Government personnel to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the LNG plant.
Periodically review and update the training program, consulting with stakeholders to adjust element requirements as necessary.
Conduct safety investigations for incidents and mishaps.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Stay informed about technological advancements and industry trends to foster innovation in safety practices and processes.
Oversee elements of the facility's safety management as outlined in the client's Process Safety Management (PSM) Program.
Periodically evaluate PSM processes and procedures to ensure their effectiveness.
Maintain and organize Process Safety Information (PSI) documentation within the designated Master Process Safety Management storage location.
Identify and coordinate updates to PSI as needed.
Coordinate and participate in audits to ensure compliance with PSI element requirements.
Assist in reviewing and modifying existing procedures to reflect necessary updates.
Coordinate audits of compliance with Operating Procedures as required.
Perform data entry in relevant systems to support work-related tasks and requirements.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Process Safety Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
Bachelor's degree in associated focus areas or a minimum of 5 years of experience providing safety oversight as it relates to new construction, major building alterations or equipment changes is required.
Experience with federal contracts highly desired.
Experience in gathering data to solve complex technical problems and the ability to oversee processes and procedures to meet and complete established milestones.
Great communication skills desires to facility training aspect of role.
Strong analytical skills to identify safety issues, evaluate solutions, and implement effective corrective actions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey safety information clearly and effectively to all levels of the organization.
Ability to analyze and identify hazards in processes and operations to provide recommendations to mitigate hazards.
Past applicable job experience may include, but is not limited to: Safety Manager, Facility Safety Manager, or Process Safety Manager.
