Position: Systems Administrator/Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)
Massa Products Corporation seeks a Systems Administrator (SysAd) and Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to help build and maintain our IT computing and network infrastructure, as well as ensure Information Assurance (IA) compliance in both unclassified and classified environments. Additionally, the successful candidate will provide end-user support as needed. The candidate must possess a solid understanding of Windows and Office 365, as well as network fundamentals, and have experience or a desire to work in a small-business environment, specifically in design and manufacturing. The candidate must be team-oriented and have the ability to work independently to develop novel IT solutions to enhance the productivity and reliability of computing resources. The candidate must also be comfortable dealing with end users and with CUI, export-controlled, and/or classified information. This position is full-time onsite and requires occasional off-hours support for IT emergencies.
Specific Job Duties shall include but not be limited to:
• SysAd:
o Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties. Available for occasional off-hour support.
o Provide technical support to staff and back-end system users, which includes troubleshooting networks, systems, and applications to identify and resolve malfunctions and other operational issues. Collaborate with users to streamline and automate some of their tasks.
o Will be one of the company's primary points of contact for all computer-based operating systems and programs (e.g., ERP/MRP, WebEx, SolidWorks, Office 365, etc).
o Plan, coordinate, and implement voice and data technology strategies, including performing software and application development, installation, and upgrades.
o Research and recommend the selection and acquisition of hardware, software, and IT-related services and equipment based on the best overall value.
o Maintain proficiency in all relevant hardware and software technologies.
o Document network problems and resolutions for future reference.
o Install computer hardware and cabling to support new users and/or systems.
o Manage installation, maintenance, repair, and upgrade of computer and network environment
• ISSO:
o Perform ISSO duties for unclassified and/or classified computer systems, as required by Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC)/NIST, which includes, but is not limited to, completing applicable training, being formally appointed, conducting audits, backups, and vulnerability scanning, and/or validating cybersecurity controls.
o Continuously validate the organization against cybersecurity policies, guidelines, procedures, regulations, and/or laws to ensure compliance.
• Cross-functional:
o Coordinate with employees and third-party vendors on IT and cybersecurity projects.
o Develop and administer instructions and/or conduct training for system users on operating systems, relational databases, cyber security requirements, and other applications.
o Maintain confidentiality, availability, and integrity regarding the information being processed, stored, or accessed on the network
o Assists in maintaining backup/restore and disaster recovery preparedness.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date software and hardware inventory listing.
o Align information technology (IT) priorities with the security strategy.
o Provide occasional off-hours support during outages, system upgrades, or other critical, time-sensitive events.
Requirements and Education:
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in computer science or other job-related fields, plus two years of experience in Windows SysAd, ISSO or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of Windows operating system: configuration, installation, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory
• Excellent customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Possess a DoD 8570.01-M IAM I baseline certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+).
• Experience as a Systems Administrator, ISSO, ISSE, or ISSM implementing DCSA Assessment and
• Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM), NIST 800-53 / Risk Management Framework (RMF),
• and/or Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC)/NIST SP 800-171 requirements.
• Experience working in a classified computing environment
