Support Services Specialist

The Support Services Specialist oversees facility operations, space management, and logistics while coordinating procurement, budgeting, and administrative support for bureau operations.

Active Secret Clearance required

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Support Services Specialist: $94,000.00

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Support Services Specialist Responsibilities Include:
  • Implements internal policies, methods, and procedures to govern the provision of general services;
  • Conducts studies and analysis of complex and controversial issues related to providing support services;
  • Conducts space management studies, plans and oversees renovations, and coordinates installation of communications equipment and cabling.
  • Provides administrative support to bureaus for special events such as conferences, briefings, ceremonies;
  • Assists with special projects including, but not limited to: the bureau inventory program, the bureau parking program, and the new employee orientation program;
  • Responsible for developing cost estimates and providing budgetary and financial plan input for costs associated with the procurement and disposal of items such as furniture, equipment, supplies, and telecommunication equipment for serviced bureaus;
  • Drafts and coordinates responses, provides additional information, explanations, and clarifications in response to inquiries from bureau officials and representatives at other offices;
  • Plans and oversees all details of office moves - coordinates with bureau and offices involved in moves;
  • Assist with annual inventories

Support Services Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Minimum one year of experience in facilities management, logistics, or government operations. Required
  • Working knowledge of federal facility regulations, asset management practices, and procurement processes.
  • Oversee building maintenance, space allocation, and ensure compliance with government facility regulations, coordinating with contractors and internal departments.
  • Manage inventory control, asset tracking, and logistics operations, including shipping/receiving, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely distribution.-
  • Ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects related to general services, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Serve as a liaison between internal staff and external stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and efficient coordination of facility operations.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze operational needs and implement improvements.

Other Requirements:
  • Candidates must be US Citizens
  • Candidates must hold an active SECRET clearance
  • Candidates will be subject to a US Federal Government background investigation and must favorably pass a drug screen
  • Travel - Domestic, 3x a year up to a week at a time.
  • Schedule - M-F Days
  • 100% Onsite required
