ECS is seeking a Java Developer (Top-Secret cleared) to work in our Washington, DC office.
ECS is seeking a TS-cleared Java Developer to support one of our mission critical programs for the Department of Justice. We offer the chance to support the world's finest law enforcement organization and help the people that keep us safe. In this job you will support agents, analysts, and professionals and technology they use to fight terrorism, espionage, cyber-attacks, and major criminal threats.
We are seeking candidates committed to high quality to provide courteous and accurate technical information. As a Java Developer, you will collaborate with customers, often engaging directly with non-technical personnel, to understand their data related needs, suggest solutions, and complete work in a timely manner. This position performs activities associated with implementation, integration, and support of computer systems in mission-critical response operations environment.
Responsibilities:
Salary Range: $140,000 - $165,000

Responsibilities:
- Develop applications in a microservices environment utilizing Java.
- Develop software/applications using AWS technologies.
- Develop applications and software solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Design, code, test, and debug applications and software solutions.
- Evaluate existing applications, microservices and perform needed updates or modifications to improve efficiency.
- Gather and evaluate user feedback and make recommendations for improvement.
- Analyze system capabilities to resolve problems.
- Provide operations and maintenance support for proposed platform.
Salary Range: $140,000 - $165,000
Required Skills
- Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- A minimum of 4 years application development experience.
- 2+ years application development experience using Java.
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
- Experience with JEE or other Java frameworks (e.g., Spring).
- Working knowledge of Microservices.
- Experience using Git, GitLab, GitHub in an application development environment.
- Demonstrated experience with relational or other database platforms, SQL or other query languages.
- Working knowledge and experience with Agile Scrum methodology.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to present technical capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a cross-functional teams.
- AWS Certification.
- Willingness to learn new skills and technologies on the fly.
- Ability to communicate with customers to refine requirements.
