Compass Point is looking for a Manager Service Desk to work in Tampa, FL. The Service Desk manager interfaces directly with supported end-users to provide hardware, software, network and applications problem resolution. Is an expert with industry standard desktop operating systems and office automation software suites. Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. This is primarily a Monday-Friday dayshift position however the Service Desk Manager may be required to work rotating shift schedules to include nights, weekends, and holidays on short notice. Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the service desk, ensuring efficient and effective support.
  • Supervise employees engaged in IT support functions, overseeing performance and productivity.
  • Oversee service desk support, ensuring timely resolution of end-user issues and seamless access to technology resources.
  • Collaborate with Computer Analysts, Programmers, and Engineers to assess software and equipment needs.
  • Review and monitor departmental activities, implementing necessary changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to establishing organizational standards, policies, and goals, effectively communicating them to subordinates.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of industry concepts and principles to improve service delivery.
  • Lead and direct the work of team members, making personnel decisions as needed.
  • Administer departmental policies and procedures, evaluate performance, and assist in developing budgets, strategic plans, and policy modifications.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant position.
  • Must have DoD 8570 IAT Level I certification.
  • Must be able to maintain DoD 8570 IAT Level I certification via continuing education requirements or re certification.
  • Must possess current TS Clearance with SCI.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
  • Special Operations Force experience.
  • Associates Degree.
