Facilities Assistant

The position requires regular attention to the following tasks:

• Cleaning/sweeping shop areas
• Changing light bulbs and ballasts
• Distributing office supplies
• Assisting with movement of furniture, cabinets, etc.
• Purchasing and delivery of materials or manufactured parts
• Courier delivery of items between company facilities
• General building maintenance
• Light building construction
• Inventory and storage of materials and equipment
• Other duties as assigned

The position requires some outdoor and some indoor activities, at all times of the year. Rarely, overnight travel is required.

Required Skills

• Driver's License
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Experience operating a forklift in production environment
• Experience operating hoists and lifts
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance
• This position will require the ability to lift objects weighing 25 pounds to 50 pounds throughout the day as needed

Desired Qualifications

• Experience towing a trailer
• Ability to drive trucks with manual transmissions
• Experience with basic hand tools and maintenance equipment

• Ability to obtain a forklift operation certification
• Professional appearance and demeanor
