GCI is seeking a Senior-level SOO to lead coordination, planning, community outreach, and strategic communications. You will be responsible for independently drafting responses to communications and maintaining official files and documents. A successful candidate will have experience helping to prepare for multiple types of briefings to audiences with varying level of familiarity with subject matter.
At GCI, we solve the hard problems. As a SOO, a typical day will include the following duties:
Tasks:
Assist with coordination and planning, stakeholder outreach, and monitoring incoming communications
Draft and coordinate data and responses
Maintain official documentation for review panels including preparing metrics and conducting research
Apply traditional SOO skills and specialized technical skillsets in order to support the program
Requirements:
Prior SOO experience with the customer
Successful demonstration of the traditional SOO skillset
Knowledge of technical topics and apply skills to technical projects
Demonstrated experience creating products to deliver successful briefings
Proven understanding of sponsor tools and ability to consolidate information from multiple tools and multiple formats into usable information
Experience managing multiple high priority projects independently
Demonstrated experience working with stakeholders and following up to ensure no gap in communication
Other specialized skills will be requested upon application to position
Key Skills:
8 yrs relevant SOO experience with the customer
Experience using customer reporting systems
Experience planning, coordinating, and supporting customer operations
Experience being the interface between local offices and field base offices
Experience coordinating customer interactions with multiple entities within government agencies
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's Degree
Experience with Chinese language and culture
Understanding of cellular and computer networks
Previous work in cybersecurity topics
Demonstrated specialized research skills
