Job Description TEKsystems is seeking a Storage Engineer with an Active TS/SCI clearance to support a storage migration and implementation at Buckley Space Force Base in Aurora, CO. The organization is looking to increase the current storage environment from 1PB to 60PB over the next year and will be receiving 50 new data center racks to implement during that time.

- Design, deliver, install, and integrate fifteen (15) R760s servers, that are in family with the R760 servers.
- Server administration and support.
- Knowledge/Experience with storage arrays and Cisco switches is helpful.
- Server knowledge for administration, optimization, troubleshooting, and working alongside a team is helpful as well.
Project Schedule:
- At 30 days – assessment report will be provided to the customer that includes recommendations and actions.
- Within 60 days – Implementation of recommendations and actions.
- Within 120 days – Plan and execute a move at one of the alternate sites.
- Within 150 days – Provide recommendation and plan to configure existing resources to hybrid cloud.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- All resident roles regardless of technology will be required to administer and engage in Problem/Change Management and optimization of the environment. Nice to have skills would be VMware. The environment will have 15 racks of R760s for custom image VDIs; although our team will not be responsible for anything above the bare metal, VMware skills could prove to be useful.
- 12 month+ project supporting the implementation and migration of a large storage system across 4 locations in Colorado. Possibility of extension to contract, sustainment services, or new projects within the organization.
- On-site required.
- Business Drivers/Customer Impact: The team is responsible for migration and implementation of a major storage upgrade.
