Your role and responsibilities
We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team onsite in Omaha, Nebraska, 5 days per week. This role involves managing, maintaining, and optimizing our diverse IT infrastructure, requiring a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

System Administration: Strong experience in managing, configuring, and maintaining server and desktop environments, including operating system administration.
Networking: Proficiency in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting network architectures, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and virtual private networks (VPNs).
Operating Systems: Expertise in managing and supporting various operating systems, such as Windows Server, Linux distributions, and macOS.
Certifications:
8140 Certification: Level 451 - Basic certification is required.
IT Infrastructure: A+ certification or CompTIA Network+ certification.
Alternatively, an applicable degree from an ABET-accredited institution or a CAE-designated program may be considered in lieu of specific certifications.
Active Top Secret SCI Clearance: Due to the nature of the role, candidates must possess or be eligible for a Top Secret SCI (Sensitive Compartmented Information) clearance.
Preferred technical and professional experience
Collaboration and Communication: Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with data scientists, data analysts, and other stakeholders.

Your role and responsibilities
We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team onsite in Omaha, Nebraska, 5 days per week. This role involves managing, maintaining, and optimizing our diverse IT infrastructure, requiring a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating System Management: Install, patch, and upgrade operating systems, including cloud resources, ensuring seamless functionality and security.
- System Technology Support: Serve as a technical authority in systems technology, providing guidance on virtual hardware and cloud capabilities.
- Troubleshooting and Resolution: Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex system hardware, software, and networking issues, maintaining optimal performance.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor system response times, assess user satisfaction levels, and propose improvements to enhance user experience and system efficiency.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with vendors, Government entities, and technical staff to facilitate system implementation, optimization, and ongoing management.
- Build, Configuration, Testing, and Documentation: Guide or perform build, configuration, testing, and documentation tasks related to enterprise system resources, ensuring standardization and best practices.
- Outage Management: Support Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs) and other system outages, working diligently to minimize disruption and expedite resolution.
- Innovative Problem Solving: Tackle assignments requiring creativity and innovation to determine the most effective approaches to complex challenges.
- Methodology Development and Solution Presentation: Exercise creative freedom in developing methodologies and confidently presenting solutions to problems, driving continuous improvement within the IT landscape.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive experience as a Systems Administrator, with a strong background in operating system management and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with experience in cloud resource management.
- Demonstrated expertise in virtualization, networking, and system administration.
- Proven track record in performance monitoring, capacity planning, and system optimization.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in liaising with vendors, Government entities, and technical staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
