Our Office in Tucson, AZ. Has an immediate opening for a Facilities Technician reporting to the Facilities Manager. This is a non-exempt, non-supervisory, full-time position.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for routine building maintenance across multiple Tucson properties including but not limited to minor drywall patching and painting, touch up of walls, hanging of pictures/whiteboards/bulletin boards, spot cleaning of carpets, caulking, replacing ceiling tiles, installing light bulbs, changing ballasts, basic plumbing (cleaning drains, replacing faucets and toilets), minor electrical repairs, pressure washing/sweeping/blower duties, removal of trash and debris.
  • Maintaining stockrooms, receiving shipments, stocking shelves, rotating stock, removing trash, general upkeep of the office spaces.
  • Support buildouts and improvement projects
  • Effectively monitor outside trades and vendors, to verify performance of work and compliance with jurisdictional codes and regulations, while maintaining safety, security, and corporate standards.
  • Monitor, perform, and track preventative maintenance on company equipment and assets
  • Assembling furniture and distributing the furniture to offices and other areas for setup.
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance and coordination of repairs for company fleet vehicles and equipment
  • Assist in Government property inventory processes.
  • Assist in the upkeep, monitoring, and implementation of the corporation's safety requirements
  • Receives general supervision from the Facility Manager.
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Ability to obtain certification for both forklift and mobile elevated work platforms (MEWP). Ability to safely and proficiently operate forklifts, aerial lifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment per OSHA and ANSI guidelines.
  • Ability to safely and proficiently operate fleet vehicles to include towing trailers as necessary.
  • Effectively communicate site needs and repairs via verbal and written communication.

Experiences and Background We Look For:
  • High School Diploma; 2+ years of experience; or equivalent
  • Valid state driver's license required with ability to operate corporate vehicles.
  • U.S Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance or currently have an active Top-Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • The employee must frequently grasp, lift and /or move items over 25 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be required to talk, hear, and grasp items. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing as necessary.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
  • Knowledge of commercial buildings and systems, to include commercial electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suites to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio.

The salary range for this role is $50,000 to $75,000; however, Arete considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to: the position and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.

U.S. citizenship is required to meet position eligibility.

Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Successful passage of a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug test is required to meet position eligibility.
