Global Dimensions is currently seeking a CAT III Korean Interpreter/Translator for a position at Camp Humphreys, South Korea.
CAT III Korean Interpreter/Translator:
- Utilizes intelligence expertise and knowledge to support the integration of Defense and National intelligence capabilities, including collection, analysis, and targeting, into overall operational planning across the DoD. This support encompasses mission areas such as campaign plan development, deliberate planning, crisis management, and time-sensitive planning in alignment with the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES). Additionally, planners contribute to red teaming and intelligence operations feasibility assessments during the planning process.
- Acts as the Senior Intelligence Policy Liaison and directly coordinates with the Republic of Korea (ROK) LNO for COT-P.
- Serves as the primary liaison to the Republic of Korea OPCON Transfer Intelligence team and the Military Intelligence Management System-Combined development team.
- Plans and coordinates the evaluation of the Conditions-based OPCON Transition Plan (COT-P) between the United States and Republic of Korea, ensuring alliance capabilities and regional conditions support the successful OPCON transition within CFC.
- Manages coordination of official and non-official memorandums, agreements, and briefing materials related to transformation and C4I interoperability between agencies.
- Ensures accurate translation and interpretation during meetings, briefings, and exercises.
- Participates in senior-level meetings and briefings to enhance intelligence synchronization between U.S. and ROK intelligence communities.
- Serves as the primary advisor on ROK's intent and capability to meet transformational and interoperability goals.
- Establishes and fosters ROK points of contact to improve information sharing.
- Facilitates ROK's adherence to deadlines by coordinating with ROK officers.
- Coordinates with the ROK Joint Chiefs of Staff and CFC staff intelligence elements on real-time intelligence issues.
- Acts as an SME on the organization of the ROK Intelligence Community and KTO's combined intelligence networks, organizations, assets, and collection capabilities.
- Advises production managers on the optimal use and integration of Korean intelligence into U.S. systems.
- Provides interpreter support to J2, DJ2, and senior leaders as needed.
- Communicates information between ROK government officials and USFK officials, as required.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI + In-scope CI poly
- BS degree
- 8+ yrs of experience
- DLPT 3+ / 3+ or higher
- OPI 3 or higher
- Operational and practical interpretation experience
- Intel experience
Preferred
- USFK experience
- Local if possible
