THE OPPORTUNITY:
Upon award, BTAS will be filling potential openings for the Space Systems Command (SSC). SSC plays a critical role in advancing the United States's space capabilities, delivering cutting-edge solutions to protect and enhance national security. SSC/SZBC specializes in highly classified Space Domain Awareness (SDA) systems, Defensive and Offensive Space Control (DSC/OSC) capabilities, and space test range assets to support the Department of Defense's (DoD) current and future operational needs.

As a leader in space technology, SSC/SZ-BC is responsible for the development, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of mission-critical systems spanning the entire acquisition life cycle. These efforts ensure the United States Space Force (USSF) and its mission partners maintain a strategic advantage in space operations. This position will support multiple SSC/SZ-BC programs, as well as other initiatives across the Space Force, Air Force, and allied organizations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide technical support and lifecycle logistics assistance from development to sustainment.
  • Support systems engineering, architecture development, logistics planning, acquisition activities, and overall product support.
  • Develop and deliver draft product support requirements to ensure system acquisitions include necessary considerations.
  • Collaborate with government teams to refine requirements, analyze data, and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory directives.
  • Manage and oversee support functions to maintain operational readiness of weapons systems, subsystems, and components.
  • Ensure personnel are knowledgeable in implementing and executing the twelve Product Support Elements (PSEs).
  • Manage military airlift cargo using government transportation systems, including Financial and Air Clearance Transportation System (FACTS) and Defense Enterprise and Accounting Management System (DEAMS).
  • Provide product support for space systems, including Development Security Operations (DevSecOps), rapid prototyping, and rapid fielding.
  • Develop and maintain technical order management and maintenance activities (TOMA).
  • Assist with new technical order development strategies aligned with evolving government acquisition strategies.
  • Support TOMA activities, including RFI, RFP, SOW, and PWS participation, technical order acquisition, in-process reviews, working group meetings, and validation/verification schedules.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with establishing product support strategies that align with acquisition strategies and identifying required infrastructures, processes, and procedures to maintain system capabilities.
  • Experience with integrating system engineering quantitative design characteristics (reliability, maintainability, etc.) with the functional logistics/integrated product support elements to identify product support resources.
  • Experience with integrating the 12 product support elements, procurement and budgeting strategy into logistics activities needed to sustain system fielding.
  • Three to 10 years' experience in this type of position or program is required.
  • BA/BS degree is required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position may supervise the work of others.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, 80%.

TRAVEL:
Little if any travel is required.

COMPENSATION / SALARY RANGE:
BTAS adheres to federal, state, and local regulations. This is a Full-Time, Salary, Exempt position. The following salary range is what we reasonably expect to pay but is contingent and subject to a variety of factors, including but not limited to years of experience, education, certification(s), training, specialized skills, responsibilities, etc.

SALARY RANGE: $96,000 - $126,000 Annual Salary
