Overview

The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within the cybersecurity market. This role requires a proactive and strategic individual with a strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and a proven track record of driving revenue growth. You will be responsible for generating leads, building relationships with potential clients, and closing deals to meet and exceed sales targets.

Responsibilities

Lead Generation and Prospecting:
  • Identify and qualify potential leads through various channels, including cold calling, email marketing, networking events, and social media.
  • Research and analyze target markets and industries to identify key decision-makers and business needs.
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline.

Relationship Building and Sales:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Conduct presentations and demonstrations of our solutions and services.
  • Understand client needs and tailor solutions to address their specific security challenges.
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.

Market Analysis and Strategy:
  • Stay up to date on the latest cyber trends, technologies, and competitive landscape.
  • Provide feedback to the product development team on market needs and customer requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of sales and marketing strategies.

Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the business development, capture management, marketing, and technical teams to ensure seamless customer experience.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to network and generate leads

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in the Department of Defense/Federal Government cybersecurity domain.
  • Experience in developing and executing business strategies to achieve successful, quality growth.
  • Knowledge of DoD government acquisitions, contracts, and proposal processes.
  • Experience in finding Federal/Government opportunities through federal procurement systems (SAM.GOV) and other federal government market sources
  • Travel is required per business need.

Clearance

  • TS with SCI eligibility is preferred.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent military or work experience in business or a related field.
  • Experience presenting to executive audiences in government and civilian settings.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of applications including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • "Self-starter" attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit with high energy, strong interpersonal and analytic skills.
