Raytheon is seeking a Senior Manager to oversee Mission Engineering department activities and serve as the Program's senior leader. Additionally, you will be responsible for the technical performance of personnel made up of three different contractors, working as a team. Location : Aurora, Colorado

What You Will Do
  • Provide mission engineering leadership, to include supporting engineering activities, monitoring engineering execution of tasks, and real-time changes for mission activities.
  • Provide mission engineering input to system engineering management activities.
  • Supervise activities for study requests and special activities.
  • Contribute to the development of new innovative and complex concepts that will provide value to the customer.
  • Exert influence in the development of organizational goals at the program level and in setting customer expectations of the program to the customer.
  • Collaborate with other team members, contractors, and/or stakeholders to validate operational performance and capabilities.
  • Oversee the department's training and certification program.
  • Support integration and testing projects when needed.


Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with SATCOM O&M (operations and maintenance), knowledge of SATCOM theory, and increased responsibilities.
  • Experience working in a customer community.
  • Experience communicating orally and in writing with various Engineering organizations, groups and customer and company leadership organizations.
  • An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Prior SATCOM O&M experience (military, defense contractor, or commercial.)
  • Experience with current Program processes.
  • Experience fostering an environment of continuous Process Improvement and innovation.
  • Experience demonstrating initiative, being proactive in task accomplishment, and working without appreciable direction.
  • Experience providing mentorship to team members at various career levels (entry, intermediate and senior level)
  • Program Management Excellence certified

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
