Full Visibility is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to work in San Antonio, TX. Candidate must possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
The Senior Database Administrator will provide system administration in core data-related AWS services and relational and non-relational databases. The candidate will maintain multiple databases across unclassified and classified environments. This also includes data exchanges through cross domain solution pipelines such as AWS diode and software artifacts. The successful candidate will be able to automate and ingest and transform data, orchestrate data pipelines while applying programming concepts, design data models, manage data life cycles, and ensure data quality. The candidate will deploy and manage database solutions on AWS, including EC2 instances and S3 storage, and implement best practices for security, scalability, and disaster recovery in a cloud environment. The Senior Database Administrator will monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime and perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and integrity checks to safeguard data integrity and availability. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in AWS tools such as Kubernetes, EKS, Diode, and Lambda etc. (not all inclusive) orchestrated/deployed in a cloud environment.

Requirements
• Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
• At least five (5+) years of experience as a database platform engineer in medium to large scale solutions to include experience with tasks such as data migration, data modeling, automation, modernization, data replication, backup and recovery, and general DBA tasks
• Three (3) years of experience in database administration with knowledge of AWS infrastructures
• Two (2) years of hands-on experience with AWS services and relational and non-relational databases
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation
• Possess a strong understanding of database design, implementation, and maintenance principles, with a keen focus on automation and optimization
• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• IAT level II certification
