Cloud Systems Engineer

Job Description Includes:
Key Responsibilities
 Candidate is responsible for building and maintaining the cloud native system
 Candidate must readily adapt to changing requirements; keep up-to-date on emerging technologies;
and be ready to help implement these new products and technologies to enhance the system.
Technical Requirements
 Experience with Linux (Red Hat and CentOS desired)
 Enterprise Service - Active Directory, LDAP, DNS
 System security, hardening, and accreditation (e.g. DCID 6/3, ICD-503)
 Automated OS and cloud infrastructure installation
 Cloud virtualization
 Configuration and use of - nat, dns, ldap, nis, nfs, iptables, free ipa
 System performance monitoring, and tuning
 Performing, monitoring, and designing system backup plans
 Create, debug, and enhance scripts (e.g. bash, csh, Perl, ruby, python, expect)
 Automate repetitive tasks
 Basic knowledge of switching, routing, IP addressing, and networks
 Experience with multicast
 Train others on system maintenance duties
 Source code control systems, both use and administration (cvs, subversion, git)
 Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Gluster, Ceph

Education
A Bachelor's degree in computer related discipline is desired but not mandatory. Candidate may
substitute relevant work experience.
