This is a full-time direct hire position and you must currently have an active Secret Security Clearance or above. We are not able to offer visa sponsorship, 1099 status, or work with C2C for this role.

What will you be doing?

World Wide Technology, LLC has an opportunity available for a AWS Architect to support our Government Services team. This position will focus on AWS Architecture and support within a customer’s environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the design and development of cloud infrastructure and cloud services
• Establish architectural standards that enable DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, and automated continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Participate in proofs of concept/technology as needed to ensure optimized architecture and service selections
• Work closely with on premise Enterprise Architecture team to ensure alignment during migrations
• Advise application architects and developers on the design of scalable, highly available, secure application solutions that leverage cloud services
• Continuously manage, monitor, and update architecture models as business needs evolve and additional cloud services become available
• Provide cloud technical leadership and bring innovative cloud technologies to the enterprise
• Utilize cost/benefit models to map architecture choices to business outcomes and associated KPIs
• Support the transfer of knowledge to the broader IT organization
• Translate organizational level business requirements and use cases into cloud capabilities
• Design solution-independent architecture models that map business services to cloud application stacks
• Maintain technical-level relationships with third party product and platform partners
• Participate in optimizing solution architectures to manage costs and identify cost control mechanisms
• Develop and manage enterprise cloud governance KPIs and maintain reference architecture model

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent work experience
• 10 years of solutions architecture experience in an enterprise environment
• 5 years of providing Solutions architecture within a cloud environment
• 3 years’ experience designing, executing and supporting AWS data lakes; lake houses at scale
• Experience coding in higher level programming languages, Python, Ruby, JSON
• Ability to pass a background check and pass the criteria for a CJIS environment
• Willingness to research and self-study to keep technical skills relevant
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and prioritize deadlines as needed to deliver results
• Mentor and coach colleagues and seeks opportunities for continuous improvement
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with great attention to detail and accuracy
