Logistics Management Specialist (LMS) serving as a supply and inventory management expert with acute knowledgeable of property book accounting methodologies with duties including, but are not limited to: planning, directing and coordinating logistics operations encompassing functions suck as inventory management, acquisition, warehouse management, traffic management, transportation, and disposal of Class I-IX supplies.

Logistics Management Specialist (LMS) serving as a supply and inventory management expert with acute knowledgeable of property book accounting methodologies with duties including, but are not limited to: planning, directing and coordinating logistics operations encompassing functions suck as inventory management, acquisition, warehouse management, traffic management, transportation, and disposal of Class I-IX supplies.
Responsibilities
- Planning and coordinating supply operations involving multiple functions such as property accountability, inventory management, warehouse utilization, reutilization and disposal of Class I-IX supplies.
- Conducting full life cycle property control for new equipment or equipment Found-on Installation (FOI) or Found on Base (FOB) from acquisition to disposal and administered property management tasks to ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency policy and regulations relating to property.
- Facilitate the Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL) process, as required.
- Overseeing material management and supply, property accountability and record controls, requisition processing, and simplified acquisition of Class 1X supplies.
- Planning, directing and coordinating the operations of the Client's Central Issue Facility (CIF).
- Maintain and refit of surveillance gear kits, ensuring they are in a deployable condition, replacing components when necessary, and doing the required upkeep to maintain up-to-date firmware and software versions.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications
- Education : Equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained may be substituted for education, if degree is required.
- Must possess twelve (12) years of military or related logistics experience and possession of a high school diploma; OR
- Ten (10) years of military or related logistics experience and possession of Associates college/university degree relevant to qualifications of position; OR
- Five (5) years military or related logistics experience with possession of a relevant Bachelor's college/university degree.
- Certifications :
- Forklift operator (10K or higher) within three years
- Experience :
- Proven ability to plan and coordinate supply operations for large organizations or complex operations involving multiple functions such as property accountability, inventory management, acquisition, warehouse, utilization and disposal procedures to account for lost, damaged or stolen property.
- Experience with operation and usage of automated accountability systems such as PBUSE, DPAS or FACTS-AM.
- Security Clearance Requirement:
- Must be a US Citizen with Final Top-Secret Clearance based upon a TIER 5 Background Investigation, and favorable eligibility determination for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) IAW ICD 704.
- Skills and Technology Used :
- Knowledge of DOD logistics, supply, and general warehouse operations.
- Knowledge in shipping, receiving, storing, issuing stock control measures and property accountability procedures.
- Knowledge in handling, movement, storage, and maintenance of government property and supplies.
- Establish and maintain stock records and other documents such as inventory, material control, accounting and supply reports.
