Overview

Astrion is seeking an Acquisition Support Specialist to join our team in El Segundo, CA to provide support to the Cyber Integration (BZGY) customer. This is for a newly awarded 5 year program supporting the Space Sensing Directorate of the USSF

Space Sensing is one of five SSC program executive offices and is responsible for delivering space-based MW/MT/MD capabilities; space based environmental monitoring (SBEM) capabilities; and other tactical intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities, ensuring end-to-end mission integration.

Work is on a Hybrid schedule (3/2)

Directly supports BZGY acquisition planning and execution in support of portfolio-wide and specific program activities as directed. Applies experience, coupled with strategic and critical thinking skills, to acquisition milestones and decisions as necessary to successfully execute the PEO's acquisition portfolio.

Responsibilities
      • Support Materiel Leader & Deputy in all aspects of program strategy, execution, and business operations.
      • Develop Documents for Program ACAT II transition, PMRs, etc.
      • Provide acquisition consulting to review program solicitation documentation, such as acquisition strategy, systems engineering plan, IMP, IMS, and CDRLs for adherence to policy/guidance.
      • Ensure consistency in implementation of its acquisition strategy, technical approach/requirements, acquisition policy/guidance, milestones, forecasts, and risk assessment.
      • Some experience with Defensive Cyber Operations experience (DCO) a plus.
      • Develop POM for FY28, cross PEO requirements flow down and integration into new and/or existing contracts, coordination with SAF/SQ and SSIO.
      • ATCs for Manticore and Kraken to be included in the various RMF architectures.


Education and Experience Requirements:
  • BA or BS degree
  • 15+ years' experience in DoD acquisition logistics, system life cycle management, sustainment, and transition
  • Familiar with USSF program repositories and products such as launch manifests, procurement plan, acquisition strategies, and communication plans/strategies
  • Experience with Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS or course work in military acquisition logistics
  • 10+ years' experience in DoD logistics, system life cycle management, sustainment, and transition
  • RFP documentation development
  • Professional certifications such as INCOSE
  • DAWIA Certifications, such as Program Management Level 1, Life Cycle Logistics Level II
