Axient is seeking a Weapons Systems Cybersecurity Engineer to support a new program within AFLCMC/EBD at Eglin AFB, FL. This role requires expertise in weapons systems engineering, cybersecurity, and system security engineering within the DoD acquisition framework.
- Provide engineering expertise in weapon systems design, development, and lifecycle management within the DoD acquisition process.
- Assist in armament program reviews to evaluate alternative plans, improve systems engineering processes, and maintain technical baselines.
- Support system-level testing to validate subsystem and overall system performance.
- Conduct trade studies to assess system performance, cost-effectiveness, reliability, and maintainability.
- Perform proposal analysis by evaluating system components for feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Apply knowledge in systems security engineering, including:
- Platform Information Assurance (PIT) - Ensure secure integration of computing resources within weapons systems.
- Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) - Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to protect critical components.
- Information Assurance (IA) - Support IA processes and compliance with DoD policies.
- Anti-Tamper Engineering - Develop security measures to prevent unauthorized access to critical technologies.
- Apply knowledge in encryption technologies and compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies.
- Assist with weapons platform IT security and risk assessments for AFLCMC acquisition programs.
- Master's degree in a related discipline + 15 years of relevant experience plus an ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- or PhD + 5 years of relevant experience plus an ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Active Secret security clearance (required).
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with a Master's in Software, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Experience in weapons cybersecurity, anti-tamper measures, and DoD acquisition processes.
