Raytheon is seeking a Principal Project Engineer in the Texas Materials and Process department that is the primary point of contact for the Tech Team Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) Activities. This is a senior level professional that requires expertise in high-reliability manufacturing, compliance with military and defense standards (e.g., MIL-STD, J-STD, ITAR, DFARS), and the ability to oversee complex projects from concept to completion. This position works closely with cross-functional teams, including Product/Process Engineering, Operations Quality Engineering (OQE), Manufacturing Operations, Factory Chief Engineering, and Test Engineering. This role will provide the opportunity to work with high levels of leadership due to the visibility of RCCA activities.
What You Will Do
Provide project management direction and technical oversight for RCCA activities related to the design and manufacturing of RF microelectronics for military applications. Includes instruction, cross-functional coordination, and driving closure of Tech Tool tickets.
Execute continuous improvement projects and strategic efforts.
Support Core Control Room activities for TX M&P including pulling metrics, assisting with actions, etc.
Flexibility to support on-call and on-site production (if needed). Eligible to receive OT for support beyond core hours.
What You Will Learn
RF Microelectronics assembly and finishing processes and "hands-on" understanding of equipment used for assembly.
Effective translation of the technical data package to the manufacturing data package.
Analysis of product quality and process controls.
Qualification of a product to military standards.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
Experience with project and/or program management.
Current Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance within one year of employment.
U.S Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

In-depth knowledge of MIL-STD and IPC standards for military electronics.

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (if required by employer or government contracts).
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
