Deputy Commander, Opposing Forces (US).
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate development of OPFOR concepts for exercise planning and execution. Maintain current knowledge of threat forces. As directed, brief OPFOR exercise Plans. During exercises act as OPFOR Commander in the absence of the actual OPFOR Commander and during selected exercises.

• BA or BS, or equivalent degree from an accredited college or university
• Graduate of service War College or (Joint equivalent).
• Honorable service as an O6 officer or CW5 warrant officer in the US Armed Forces.
• Command of a combat arms or service equivalent organization at the brigade or higher level (or other service equivalent) within the past ten years from the release date of this solicitation or 3-5 years of previous experience in working in the capacity as a Deputy Commander OPFOR.
• One year experience in Joint operational planning. Two years’ experience with managing military and/or civilian personnel within the past ten years from the release date of this solicitation.
• Knowledge of INDOPACOM peer and near-peer adversaries’ doctrine, organization, tactics, techniques, and procedures.
• One year experience in the preparation of scenarios for joint and combined exercises within the past ten years from the release date of this solicitation.
• Two years’ experience with military simulations supported training within the past ten years from the release date of this solicitation. 10. Eligibility for Top Secret Clearance with SCI.
