Essential Duties
Exercise Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute USSF capabilities in CJCS, CCMD, USAF, and other service-level exercises, ensuring alignment with the USSF Service Exercise Plan (SEP).
- Lead the planning conferences, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to design scenarios, events, and timelines for space and cyber activities.
- Review historical lessons learned and assist training audiences in formulating training objectives for each exercise event.
Operational Support & Coordination
- Participate in exercise execution as part of the Exercise Control Group (ECG), overseeing space event management and providing real-time oversight within the White Cell.
- Familiarize with and integrate 392 CTS modeling and simulation (M&S) capabilities into exercise design and execution.
- Coordinate personnel, funding, and logistical support with internal and external agencies, including HQ USSF and CCMDs.
Reporting & After-Action
- Develop and submit after-action reports, capturing lessons learned (LL) and submitting them into the Joint Information Lessons Learned System (JILLS).
- Attend quarterly and annual Exercise Coordination Team (ECT) meetings to present exercise planning status and future participation on the USSF SEP.
- Prepare documentation such as trip reports, exercise planning products, and meeting minutes, ensuring timely submission.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in planning, coordinating, or executing space capabilities in military exercises.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel globally (45-90 days/year).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting CCMD, NATO, or other DoD exercises.
- Familiarity with exercise planning tools such as JTIMS, JILS, or JTT.
- Prior experience with United States Space Command (USSC) space systems in exercises.
Education & Certification
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or additional years of experience may substitute for degree requirement.
Required Clearance
- Top Secret/SCI clearance
Travel
- Estimated 45-90 days of travel per year.
