Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support the design, maintenance, and optimization of network infrastructure. This role involves performing moderate to complex network designs, conducting upgrades and routine operations, and ensuring seamless network integration and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network architecture, troubleshooting, and system maintenance in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement moderately complex network solutions, including system upgrades and enhancements.
• Perform routine network operations, maintenance (O&M), and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
• Assess user requests for network modifications and provide expert guidance on technical feasibility and impact.
• Plan and execute network upgrades while ensuring seamless integration and optimal system performance.
• Utilize network analysis tools to diagnose and resolve network performance issues.
• Support the installation and maintenance of network technologies across multiple distributed locations.
Qualifications:
• 8 years of experience with a relevant Bachelor’s degree, or 12 years of total experience in network engineering.
• Expertise in Ethernet and IP LAN design, configuration, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in SONET-based WAN networks.
• Experience with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS).
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows environments, including Windows 7, 10, and various Windows Server versions.
• Knowledge of Active Directory in distributed, secure IT environments.
• Familiarity with Macintosh devices, Linux systems, and secure enterprise IT configurations.
• Experience with Enterprise Storage Area Network (SAN) solutions (e.g., HPE 3PAR, NetApp, EMC).
• Proficiency in server virtualization solutions such as VMware vSphere and Windows Hyper-V.
• Hands-on experience in VOIP and VTC solution design and maintenance (Cisco, Polycom, or equivalent).
• Experience configuring and maintaining COMSEC (NSA GOTS/Type-1) systems.
• Expertise in enterprise-level Cisco networking, VOIP, and VTC devices.
• In-depth knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, and other enterprise-class VMware solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in network performance optimization.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, secure IT environment.
• Experience managing enterprise network security and compliance.
