ELECTRICIAN/FIRE ALARM TECHNICIAN
Reports to: USNATO Facilities Supervisor
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include maintenance and repair of Embassy electrical systems (distribution and standby) motor controls, fire alarm systems, and building controls under technical guidance of contractor's site supervisor.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include maintenance and repair of Embassy electrical systems (distribution and standby) motor controls, fire alarm systems, and building controls under technical guidance of contractor's site supervisor.
- Escort NATO personnel in adjacent technical spaces as required.
- Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serving as the Primary point of contact with the NATO Facility Management staff with respect to the prime and backup base building electrical systems.
Repairs and maintains the following:
- Operational control and alarm systems
- Electrical distribution systems
- Motors and motor controls
- Lighting and lighting systems
- Fire alarm control panels and systems
- Electrical standby-power systems
Qualifications:
- Licensed journeyman electrician with minimum five years of experience in maintenance of electrical equipment to include switchgear, distribution systems, and general building electrical maintenance and repair. Experience must include work with sketches, drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturers' operations and maintenance manuals. Training and experience maintaining and operating medium voltage distribution and equipment required.
- Certified to maintain Honeywell Notifier fire alarm control panel and subsidiary equipment is preferred. Shall obtain training for BEMAC Diana III fire alarm control panel and demonstrate the ability to maintain and operate the interface between the two systems within six weeks of deployment.
- NICET Level II -Certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
- Incumbent must have oral and written communication skills sufficient to produce employee evaluations and written reports for upper management and to brief upper management on project status.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Top Secret security clearance.
