A TEKsystems client is looking to hire an Exchange Administrator to support their environment at Stennis Space Center. This person is required to have a TS/SCI clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Installation, Configuration, and Maintenance: Administering Microsoft Exchange servers, ensuring they are properly installed, configured, and maintained
- Regularly monitoring server performance and health to ensure optimal operation
- Implementing and managing spam filters and antivirus solutions to protect email systems
- Ensuring email communications are secure through encryption protocols
- Creating and managing user accounts and mailboxes
- Setting up and managing user permissions and access controls
- Implementing backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability
- Developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans for Exchange environments
- Optimizing server and database performance to ensure efficient operation
- Identifying and resolving issues related to email delivery and server performance
- Maintaining detailed documentation of server configurations, procedures, and changes
- Documenting incidents and resolutions to improve future troubleshooting efforts
Requirements:
- Candidates must possess a Top Secret Clearance w/active or eligible SCI and be willing to work in a SKIF environment
- Candidates must demonstrate proficiencies in the following:
- Exchange Server Management: Experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft Exchange servers.
- Email Security: Proficiency in implementing and managing email security protocols, including spam filters, encryption, and threat detection.
- Active Directory: Strong knowledge of Active Directory and its integration with Exchange.
- Backup and Recovery: Expertise in backup solutions and disaster recovery planning for Exchange environments.
- Performance Monitoring: Ability to monitor and optimize the performance of Exchange servers.
- Exchange Management Shell (PowerShell): For scripting and automation of administrative tasks.
- Exchange Admin Center (EAC): Web-based management console for administering Exchange environments.
- Exchange ActiveSync: Protocol for synchronizing email, calendar, contacts, and tasks with mobile devices.
- Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM): For monitoring and managing server performance.
