TEKsystems is seeking a SQL Database Administrator with a TS/SCI clearance support a government client at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi.
Responsibilities:
- Installation and configuration of database management systems (DBMS) SQL Server for optimal performance.
- Creating and implementing backup strategies ensuring data can be restored in case of loss or corruption to include testing of recovery procedures.
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency, optimizing queries, indexing, and managing resources.
- Manage user access and permissions, ensuring that sensitive data is protected from unauthorized access and implement security measures to safeguard against breaches.
- Overseeing data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, ensuring data integrity and availability for users.
- Assess current database usage and predict future needs, ensuring that the infrastructure can handle growth without performance degradation.
- Troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems quickly, minimizing downtime and data loss.
- Maintaining thorough documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies essential for compliance and operational continuity.
- Work with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to support application development and ensure that database solutions meet business needs.

Candidates for this requirement must posses a Top Secret Clearance w active/eligible SCI and be willing to work in a SKIF environment
1.) SQL Server Management: Experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL Server databases

3.) Performance Tuning: Expertise in optimizing database performance and troubleshooting issues
