**Overview**
The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Acquisition Directorate (CG-9) develops acquisition strategies that deliver affordable assets that meet mission requirements as defined by the Deputy Commandant for Operations and sponsored by the Assistant Commandant for Capability (CG-7). The Learning Management System (LMS) is a software component in the USCG’s training suite that automates training administration and recordation by assigning requirements to users, delivering content, recording user activity, and generating reports.
Required: Must have experience with DoD Acquisition management processes, tools, and techniques.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provides input, and assists with development and management of acquisition related documents, such as Program Management Plans, Acquisition Program Baselines, Acquisition Life Cycle Tailoring plans
• Assists with implementation of Risk, Opportunity, and Issue Management for Non-Major Acquisition Program
• Assists with Change Management and managing a document repository in MS TEAMS and SharePoint
• Assists with development of high-level program briefings and correspondence
• Manages program schedule including preparation of briefing charts showing dependencies and major program milestones
• Risk Management
o Identify, assess, and prioritize potential risks to the organization, including operational, financial, and strategic risks.
o Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans to minimize exposure.
o Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management plans and adjust them as necessary.
• Program Plan
o Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timelines.
o Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless execution and resource optimization across
program activities.
o Establish clear program goals, deliverables, and KPIs to measure progress and ensure successful
outcomes.
• Enterprise Architecture Board
o Lead the Enterprise Architecture Board (EAB) in defining and enforcing the organization’s architectural vision, principles, and standards to ensure alignment with business goals and IT strategy.
o Oversee the review, approval, and governance of architectural designs, ensuring that they are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
o Provide strategic guidance on the integration of emerging technologies and innovations within the existing enterprise architecture.
• Acquisition Decision Event
o Oversee the development and execution of acquisition strategies, ensuring alignment with business
objectives, budgets, and timelines.
o Drive cross-functional collaboration between stakeholders, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure a holistic approach to acquisition decisions.
o Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership regarding acquisition opportunities, risks, and benefits.
Additional Requirements:
• Experience with DoD Acquisition management processes, tools, and techniques required.
• Excellent organizational and both oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well with a team, execute tasks and projects in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ability to write and present effective project materials, presentations, status -reporting, etc.
• Provide support in the development of processes and procedures to support program execution and oversight.
