Inventory Manager

Semper Valens Solutions is currently recruiting an Inventory Manager to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD to support our customer.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Assists with property management tasks associated with the fielding of Army communication systems to Army units using US Army Accountable Property Systems of Record (APSR) to include Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), Logistics Management Plan (LMP), and Global Command Support System-Army (GCSS-A).

  • Oversees inventory of equipment including the updating and maintenance of inventory databases.

  • Manages warehousing functions including receipt, storage, and disbursement of property.

  • When applicable coordinate the repair of defective equipment and ensure required maintenance is performed on managed property inventory.

  • Purchases supplies and equipment needed for stock, store and issue requirements. Assist with the management of Government owned or contractor leased facilities.

  • Coordinates all incoming and outgoing shipments of property when directed, to include all required documentation.

  • Coordinate with leadership regarding the management and control of the shipping carrier accounts and assist with resolution of any discrepancies/problems with shipping transactions.

  • Prepares periodic inventory reports and documentation on warehouse property including inventory status and future requirements planning.

  • Develop and maintain a warehouse standard operating procedure(s).

  • Utilize logistics inventory management control system(s) to manage inventory and track/report on all inventory transactions.

  • Conduct periodic audits of all property per customer guidance/requirements.

  • Maintain the safety, appearance and functionality of the warehouse as required.

  • Responsible for all Defense Reutilization and Marketing Services (DRMS) to coordinate the disposal/de-military actions required for Dept of the Army equipment.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a BA/BS Diploma and 5 years of experience or an additional 4 years relevant experience in Army Supply/Inventory Management

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Excellent communication skills and strong organizational skills.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government Secret Clearance.

  • A self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Experience with US Army Accountable Property Systems of Record (APSR) to include Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), Logistics Management Plan (LMP), and Global Command Support System-Army (GCSS-A).

  • Experience with Army property management documents to include (DA 2062), (DA 3161) and (DD1149).
