We need motivated candidates with extensive communications, public affairs and program management experience to support a U.S. Navy public affairs contract. This position will support command communications activities, including:
- Video and still photography for internal/external communication products, video news releases, podcasts, ceremonies, infographics, special events, ground testing and demonstrations, conferences and symposiums, community activities, crisis events, and other assignments as necessary.
- Photography editing and production, story development and production, scriptwriting, multimedia subject matter expert, support on-camera interviews, digital video conversion from one file format to another, color correction and processing of print and informational imagery.
- Develop and edit multi-media, video production, photographs, photo captions, video descriptions, social media content, articles, audiovisual presentations, video news releases, “b-roll” video clips, and videotaping in support of communication products and services.
- Event photography, including shooting, editing and archiving.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
- Demonstrated experience in creative multimedia design support and still photography services in a public affairs/corporate communications environment.
- Experience with researching, preparing and disseminating information through various digital media.
- Experience completing projects that require coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
- Must have experience in gathering information and materials, as well as planning concepts by studying information and materials, managing workflow and scheduling including managing multimedia products from inception to completion.
- Understanding of 508 compliance.
- Understanding of the Associated Press style guide.
- Understanding of MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Photoshop CS 4/5, Adobe Premier Video Editing, PC and iOS operating systems, digital video conversion from one file format to another, skill in color correction and processing of print and video imagery.
- Photography and videography experience with demonstrated experience producing motion graphics for video using lighting design, sound design, story development and conducting video interviews.
