THE WORK
- This position is on-site with the customer providing Operations & Maintenance (O&M) support at the Aegis Training and Readiness Center in Dahlgren, VA.
- The applicant will be responsible for maintaining the hardware and loading the software for multiple Aegis baselines to include: 7.2, 8, 9, and BMD 4.0. The applicant will perform maintenance actions, loading procedures, and repairs on multiple equipment suites supporting Aegis.
- Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. - The successful applicant will work in a team environment and can leverage other teammates knowledge to best maintain the training equipment.
- The successful applicant will be able to effectively communicate with team leads as well as customers as required. You will implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs and policies as directed as well as comply with site security and access control procedures in accordance with customer site policy.
* US Citizenship is required. Candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position with the ability to obtain and maintain a Final Secret Security Clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Ability to communicate and work directly with the customer
- Ability to work through highly complex problems using engineering technical data, wiring diagrams, test equipment, software programs, and technical manuals.
- Strong technical aptitude with desire to work hands-on with the latest technologies
- Five (5) years of Surface Combat Systems experience including development, activation, lifetime support, maintenance, configuration management and/or tactical training.
* US Citizenship is required. Candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position with the ability to obtain and maintain a Final Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Proven hardware and software support experience in fast-paced/reconfigurable lab environment.
• Network configuration and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience working in classified/access-controlled facilities.
• Ability to brief/teach technical information to internal and external audiences.
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification
• CompTIA Linux+ or equivalent certification
