SME Systems Engineer

Kavaliro is seeking a SME Systems Engineer to support a client in Virginia.

Required Skills:
REQUIRED SKILLS AND DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE

• Demonstrated experience deploying cloud services, maintaining data environments hosted in the AWS-TS region.
• Demonstrated experience with programming languages such as, Python and R.
• Demonstrated experience with relational database engines in the following: database design, development, deployment and management in a cloud environment.
• Demonstrated experience working across organizational lines to identify and implement new data deliveries.
• Demonstrated experience ingesting, ETLing, and conditioning new data streams and formats.
• Demonstrated experience with developers and engineers across disciplines to implement customer and system requirements, solution(s) that meets the current requirements and is scalable to meet future mission needs.
• Demonstrated experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle, the System Engineering Life Cycle, and the ability to comprehend user business needs and concerns and integrate that understanding with technical skills.
• Demonstrated experience setting up and managing software development activities.
• Demonstrated experience building complex data transformations using Tableau.
• Demonstrated experience building complex visualizations using Tableau.
• Demonstrated experience managing Tableau server and server sites.

HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS AND DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with Sponsor data, applications and database structures.
• Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor's security and accreditation processes, to include building and maintaining systems that meet or exceed those processes.
• Demonstrated experience with visualization tools such as Jupyter, Excel, Visio, Sharepoint, and Confluence.
• Demonstrated experience in LINUX environments, networks, applications, and security operations.
• Demonstrated experience with networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks.
• Demonstrated experience with web services, API, REST and RPC.
• Demonstrated experience with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning frameworks and platform services.

Location:

• Chantilly, VA
• This role is onsite and there is no remote availability.

Clearance Requirement:

• Candidates must have an active TS/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph.
