Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software and API-based solutions tailored to client needs.
- Build highly available REST API services that meet enterprise business and mission objectives.
- Automate API documentation using tools like Swagger to ensure up-to-date and easily accessible technical information.
- Perform rigorous unit testing and apply test-driven development (TDD) principles.
- Collaborate within an Agile development environment, participating in sprints, standups, and pair programming.
- Work with cloud services such as AWS (S3, RDS, SNS, SQS) to support application architecture.
- Employ security best practices during software development.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience: 15+ years in software engineering with a proven track record of delivering quality solutions.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Expertise in developing and maintaining REST API services.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.
- Experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and DynamoDB.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms and services, particularly AWS.
- Hands-on experience with tools for unit testing and TDD.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with serverless computing and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with DevSecOps practices and tools like Git, Jenkins, and Ansible.
- Proficiency in performance testing and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
