The Air Dominance and Strike Division is Anduril's fastest growing and largest division. Our teams are fundamentally reshaping the way future peer to peer conflicts are fought by developing next generation collaborative combat aircraft, advanced effects, and the autonomy software that powers these weapons. AD&S leadership and corporate finance teams and will provide leadership, direction and management of the Divisional finance team as both Anduril and the Division continue to rapidly scale.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a strategic finance leader to join our team and lead the overall finance functions for Anduril's Air Dominance & Strike (AD&S) Division. This role is a key part of the AD&S leadership and corporate finance teams and will provide leadership, direction and management of the Divisional finance team as both Anduril and the Division continue to rapidly scale. This person will oversee include financial planning and analysis, program finance, strategic finance and pricing and is expected recommend and execute on new strategies that drive both top- and bottom-line impact.
This role requires a strong interest in solving operational and financial puzzles with an ability to recognize patterns and collaborate via cross-functional partnership to drive decision-making. You will create frameworks for assessing investment and capital allocation decisions and partner with senior leadership to operationalize the hypotheses and takeaways.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
US Salary Range
$204,000 - $306,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Serve as the de facto CFO of Anduril's AD&S business, including daily partnership with senior leaders within the Division and corporate finance to bring first-class financial expertise and decision-making to the business and operations
- Lead strategic finance initiatives that create both top- and bottom-line impact for some of Anduril's largest product lines and programs
- Get deep in the operations and support the team in creating bottoms-up, data-driven models to understand segmentation, pricing optimization, and financial returns of our products and investments
- Partner with our Business Development and Leadership teams to create new business models and the pricing structures that support them for Anduril's future products and programs
- Manage and scale a dedicated AD&S finance team in line with the needs of the business by developing and hiring best-in-class talent and implementing best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible finance organization
- Own performance dashboards, alerting, and investigation into KPI health. Assess the impact of financial decisions on KPIs while developing strategies which drive demonstrable impact against these metrics
- Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting and partnering with AD&S and corporate finance leaders to drive improvement into the business
- Coordinate development of annual, quarterly and monthly operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting for the same
- Develop deep relationships with our customers and oversee customer program reporting, monthly invoicing, and monthly financial status reporting
- 10+ years of experience in finance and leadership roles, showing progressive growth in scope of responsibilities
- Experiencing growing and leading teams
- Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills and experience interacting with senior leadership teams
- Understanding of advanced accounting and financial concepts
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
- Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in finance or related disciplines
- Corporate finance, investment banking or consulting experience
