Cartographer, Senior
The Opportunity:
Are you passionate about geospatial data visualization and creating intuitive and detailed maps? Are you looking to advance your skills in geographic information systems and cartographic applications? We're looking for you, a cartographer who will apply technical skills to organize and visualize geospatial data. The position is an opportunity to meet challenges in the intelligence community ( IC ) by collaborating with a team to produce graphics with an impact. We are an interdisciplinary team with backgrounds in design, cartography, computer science, data science, and others in a high visibility setting of the IC. With an emphasis on adapting to new developments and requirements, we focus on growing as a team to generate the best solutions for our customers. You'll design and analyze solutions for visualizing an array of geographic features. You'll produce digital map products depicting the contents of databases and distribute files to designers in the appropriate formats, identify new sources of data, and expand existing cartographic resources to support customer requirements. Ensure maps adhere to cartographic standards and principles and maintain quality assurance and quality control oversight throughout the design process.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- 8+ years of experience with cartography
- Experience using Micro sof t Office programs, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with Adobe Suite, MAPublisher, ArcGIS, and Google Earth
- Knowledge of world geography and standard cartographic practice
- Ability to pay strict attention to detail
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor's degree
