Director Organizations & Workforce Transformation

As Director / Engagement Manager within our Strategy & Transformation consulting practice, you will organize and lead C-Suite level client engagements and project initiatives aimed at optimizing federal workforce environments and the services they provide, along with enhancing employee effectiveness. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with leadership, key stakeholders, and subject matter experts to understand unique challenges across the enterprise along with complex employee journeys and experiences. You will need to bring a consultative approach and proven track record of successfully managing complex, high-visibility initiatives, driving organizational change projects while delivering high-quality deliverables, and fostering collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Director (Engagement Manager) - Organizations & Workforce Transformation: $200,000 - $245,000.

Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Director Organizations & Workforce Transformation Responsibilities Include:
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with federal client stakeholders, understanding needs, and collaborating with team members and Subject Matter Experts (SME) on effective solutions.
  • Program Management: Establish cadence and rhythm of multiple teams and deliverable build-ups to meet client priorities and needs. Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise transformation projects and on-time deliverables, ensuring alignment with goals and objectives. Orchestrate and communicate updates on a regular basis.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of program management office consultants and analysts, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Planning: Work closely with clients, partners, and SMEs to develop and implement phased strategies and adoption plans, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and objectives.
  • Change Management: Work closely with SMEs to develop and implement change management strategies and strategic communications, to facilitate smooth transitions and organizational adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Risk Management: Identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues to minimize impact on project timelines and outcomes.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the delivery of high-quality project implementation services, meeting or exceeding client expectations and industry standards.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in business, human resources, organizational development, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (15+ years) in leading enterprise transformation initiatives and managing transformation projects with multiple workstreams.
  • Direct leadership (8+ years) in federal government or private sector human resources / human capital environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High proficiency with MS Office tools and digital collaboration environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Project Management Professional, or comparable certification.
  • Ability to pass a Minimum Background Investigation / obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal

Preferred Qualifications:
  • SHRM or comparable certification
  • 3+ years in management consulting with design sprint and engagement management experience.
  • Change management or other relevant certifications are desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective strategic plans aligned with organizational goals.
