IT Manager

Compensation & Benefits:
- Estimated Starting Salary Range for IT Manager: Pay commensurate with experience.

IT Manager Responsibilities Include:
- Lead and manage IT infrastructure and cybersecurity projects for the DoD Air Force, ensuring compliance with DoD and federal cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Oversee day-to-day IT operations, focusing on ensuring IT strategies align with organizational goals, security standards, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Provide technical guidance on IT and cybersecurity best practices, infrastructure management, and security standards to ensure systems are secure and efficient.
- Collaborate with Air Force and DoD teams to streamline processes, enhance the overall performance of IT systems, and reinforce cybersecurity measures.
- Monitor and enforce information assurance, cybersecurity policies, and security practices across the enterprise infrastructure.
- Support senior leadership in developing and implementing strategic IT and cybersecurity initiatives to optimize DoD infrastructure and ensure the protection of critical assets.
- Mentor and manage a team of IT professionals, promoting continuous improvement in cybersecurity practices and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Apply knowledge of NIST and NIST Zero Trust frameworks to implement robust cybersecurity controls across IT systems.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
IT Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.
- CISSP, CISM, or similar cybersecurity certifications.
- Minimum of 6 years in IT, including:
- 1 year of IT management experience with a focus on cybersecurity.
- Experience working with DoD or Air Force enterprise infrastructure, governance, policies, and procedures.
- Proven experience with implementing NIST and NIST Zero Trust cybersecurity frameworks.
- Proven experience in managing IT and cybersecurity teams and projects, ensuring the efficient execution of initiatives in a complex, high-security environment.
- Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity principles, NIST standards, Zero Trust models, and IT management practices. Experience with information assurance and security policies within the DoD environment is critical.
- Expertise in managing, applying, and auditing cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, Zero Trust) across enterprise systems to mitigate threats and ensure compliance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with senior leadership, stakeholders, and teams.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex cybersecurity and IT issues and recommend solutions that align with DoD requirements.
